Object history

Deutsch: Die Gemeindevertretung Uckerland beschloss am 31. Januar 2013^[1] die Führung eines Gemeindewappens und einer Flagge, die das Brandenburgische Landeshauptarchiv am 25. Februar 2013 genehmigte.
Die Gemeinde Uckerland wurde am 31. Dezember 2001 aus den elf amtsangehörigen Gemeinden des Amtes Lübbenow (Uckermark) – Fahrenholz, Güterberg, Jagow, Lemmersdorf, Lübbenow, Milow, Nechlin, Trebenow, Wilsickow, Wismar, und Wolfshagen – neu gebildet. Das von Jörg Mantzsch, Magdeburg, gestaltete Wappen der jungen Großgemeinde nimmt auf den Rapsanbau Bezug, der das Landschaftsbild der Region seit Generationen prägt. Die Samenkörner sollen auf die elf Ortsteile verweisen.^[1]

Flaggenbeschreibung: „Drei Streifen in den Farben Rot-Gelb-Rot (Rot-Gold-Rot) und im Verhältnis 1:3:1 mit dem Gemeindewappen in der Mitte.“^[1]

English: Coat or arms and flag have been adopted by the municipal council 31 January 2013^[1] and granted by the main archive of the State of Brandenburg 25 February 2013.
