The Uzbek Wikipedia reached 150,000 articles on July 3, 2022. With 259591 articles, the Uzbek-language version of Wikipedia currently ranks 58th among all Wikipedias.[note 1] Among the Turkic-language editions of Wikipedia, the Uzbek Wikipedia ranks sixth behind the Turkish, Tatar, South Azerbaijani, Azerbaijani, and Kazakh Wikipedias.
In 2022, the Uzbek Wikipedia started to grow at a rapid pace. It was primarily due to the WikiStipendiya marathon. WikiStipendiya is a project aimed at improving content on the Uzbek Wikipedia. The project is organized by the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Agency of Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Wikimedians of the Uzbek Language User Group.
