Sein Symbol ist das Antoniuskreuz, hier mit 2 Pilgerglöckchen versehen. Die 3 silbernen Fische auf blauem Grund stehen für die 3 kurfürstlichen Fischweiher auf Ellscheider Gemarkung (Mürmesweiher, Finkenweiher und Mittelweiher). Die Ellscheider waren dem Kurfürsten verpflichtet, beim Fischfang

und bei der Reinigung der Weiher Frondienste zuleisten.
