Object history
Deutsch: Der mit einem Schrägbalken belegte Löwe ist das Wappentier des Hochstifts Bamberg und weist auf die bambergische Lehenherrschaft, die seit 1365 belegt ist. Das Rittergut Weisendorf gehörte später zum Kanton Altmühl der freien Reichsritterschaft in Franken. Im 18. Jahrhundert war es Lehen des Bamberger Dompropstes. Die Ringelblume ist typisch für Weisendorf, seit vielen Generationen wird sie im Gemeindegebiet angebaut und steht deshalb im Gemeindewappen.
