2001-yilda u Tolibon rejimi qulagani haqidagi xabarni efirga uzatdi[1]. The Daily Telegraph gazetasida yozgan Hamida G‘afur u Konstitutsiyaviy Loya Jirga delegati etib tayinlangani haqida xabar berdi. Biroq, u delegatlarning rasmiy roʻyxatida yoʻq edi[2].

2002-yil oktyabr oyida AQSh Davlat departamenti uni ozodlik mukofoti bilan taqdirladi[3].

Mujohid Tolibon hokimiyatni qoʻlga kiritgunga qadar telejurnalist boʻlgan[4][5].
