Tarixi
tahrirAl-Hilol 1880-yillarda Misrga kelgan bayrutlik jurnalist Jurji Zaydon[4][5] tomonidan 1892-yilda asos solingan[6][7]. Oylik jurnalning birinchi soni 1892-yil sentyabrda chop etilgan[8]. Jurji Zaydon vafotidan keyin jurnalga uning oʻgʻillari Emil va Shukri Zaydon muharrirlik qilgan[9]. Oʻz faoliyatini boshlaganidan koʻp oʻtmay , „Al-Hilol“ "Al-Muqtataf" jurnali bilan birga mashhur jurnalga aylandi[10].
Arab tilida nashr etiladigan jurnal tahririyati Qohirada joylashgan[11]. U mamlakatdagi davlat nashrlaridan biri sanaladi[12]. Jurnalning noshiri davlatga qarashli „Dar Al-Hilol“ nashriyot uyi hisoblanadi[13][14].
"Al-Hilol" jurnalining oʻtgan sonlari Bibliotheca Alexandrina tomonidan raqamlashtirilgan[2]. Bundan tashqari, nashriyot jurnali va boshqa nashrlarning oʻtgan sonlarini ham arxivlashtirgan[15]. Janubiy Koreyaning AsiaN axborot agentligi va jurnal madaniyat va ommaviy axborot vositalari sohasidagi hamkorlikni qoʻllab-quvvatlash maqsadida madaniy hamkorlikni yoʻlga qoʻygan[16].
Koʻplab arab jurnallari, jumladan 1908-yilda Quddusda nashr etilgan Al-Nafais Al-Asriyya Al-Hiloldan ilhomlangan.
Muharrirlari va mualliflari
tahrir2011-yil 30-martda Helmi Al-Namnam Al-Hilolning bosh muharririga aylandi[17]. Jurnalning keyingi bosh muharriri Muhammad Al-Shafey boʻldi[16].
Eng birinchi hissa qoʻshganlardan biri falastinlik feminist yozuvchi May Ziyoda edi[18]. Yana bir muallifi va adabiyot professori Oysha Abel Rahmon edi[19]. U Bint al Shati taxallusi ostida maqolalar chop etgan[19]. Uning Al-Hiloldagi maqolalari va boshqa maqolalarida Birlashgan Arab Respublikasini qoʻllab-quvvatlangan[19]. Mansur Fahmiy va Salama Musolar ham jurnalga oʻz hissalarini qoʻshganlar[20]. Ahmad Amin 1933-yildan 1954-yilgacha vafotigacha Al-Hilolga muntazam ravishda hissa qoʻshgan[21].
