M 49 (Messier 49, Messiye 49, boshqa atamalari — NGC 4472, ARP 134, UGC 7629, VCC 1226, MCG 1-32-83 , ZWG 42.134, PGC 41220) — Sunbula turkumidagi elliptik galaktika. Geliosentrik tizim boʻyicha koordinatalar Ra12h29m48s DEC +08°00’00". Radius tezligi 817 km/s. Yulduz kattaligi +8,37. Taxminan oʻlchami 8,9' × 7,4' E4 turi[1][2][3][4][5].
Ushbu obyekt „Yangi Bosh Katalogning“ asl tahririda sanab oʻtilganlar qatoriga kiradi.
Xususiyatlari
tahrirM 49 E4 elliptik galaktikalar sinfiga kiradi. U qoʻshni NGC 4621 galaktikasi bilan oʻzaro faol harakatlanadi, shuning uchun u oʻziga xos deb tasniflanadi va oʻziga xos galaktikalar atlasida ARP 134 belgisiga ega. M 49 Sunbula toʻdasining bir qismidir va boshqa galaktikalar orasida eng yorqin aʼzosi hisoblanadi[6].

Kuzatishlar
tahrirGalaktikalardagi Sunbula toʻdasining eng yorqinini bahorda dala durbinlari yoki teleskop izlovchisi yordamida δ Sunbula — β Asad chizigʻida (yoki δ — ε Sunbula tomoni boʻlgan teng tomonli uchburchakning gʻarbiy choʻqqisida) bir oz oval diffuz dogʻdan iborat shaklda osongina topish mumkin. Hatto eng aperturali teleskopda ham galaktika markazga qarab yorqinlikning kuchli kontsentratsiyasi bilan diffuz oval shaklida (kattaroq boʻlsa ham) boʻlib qoladi. Bu elliptik galaktikalarning teleskopik tasvirlari uchun xosdir. Bizning galaktikamizga tegishli boʻlgan oldinda joylashgan yulduzlar koʻrinishni biroz oʻzgartirib turadi (galaktikaning chetrogʻida tasvirlanib turuvchilardan biri). M 49 hududi yaqinida — 30 yoy daqiqasidan kamroq masofada teleskopingiz va osmon sifatini quyidagi NGC katalogida keltirilgan kuchsizroq obyektlarda tekshirishingiz mumkin: 4488 (12,1m), 4470 (12,2m), 4492 (12,4m), 4464 (12,8m), 4466 (14m) va 4465 (14,9m).
