Bag'laga ko'plab dengizchilar kerak edi

Bag'la duxovkalarining boshi egilgan dumli, ziynatlangan o'yilgan dumli va chorak galereyasi bor edi. Ularning o'rtacha uzunligi 100 ft (30 m) edi o'rtacha og'irligi 275 tonna. Odatda, ular ikki-uchta lateen yelkanlari yordamida ikkita ustunga ega edi; ko'pincha kamon ustuniga, shuningdek, asosiy ustunning tepasida joylashgan to'plamga qo'shimcha yelkan kabi qo'shimcha yelkanlar qo'shilgan [3]. Katta va og'ir kema sifatida Baghlah kamida 30 dengizchidan iborat ekipajga muhtoj edi. Ba'zilarida hatto 40tagacha bor edi [4].

Ganja yoki kotiya shunga o'xshash idish bo'lib, ko'pincha bag'ladan farqlash qiyin [5].

Baghlahlar o'tgan asrlarda Hind okeani va Arabiston yarim oroli atrofidagi kichik dengizlarda savdo kemalari sifatida keng qo'llanilgan. Ular sharqqa Sindga, Hindistonga va Bengal ko'rfaziga qadar va undan tashqarida Spice orollarigacha etib borishdi. Janubi-g'arbga qarab ular Sharqiy Afrika qirg'oqlariga etib borishdi. Ular Bohra savdogarlari tomonidan ishlatiladigan asosiy kema turlaridan biri edi.
