Ushbu asar hozirgacha saqlanib qolgan eng qadimiy hadislar toʻplami boʻlib, u turli qoʻlyozma toʻplamlarda mavjud va bosma nusxalari keng tarqalgan[3][4]. Asar birinchi marta XX asrda Muhammad Hamidulloh tomonidan tadqiq qilinib, nashr etilgan[5]. Ushbu nashr „Sahifa Hammom ibn Munabbih“ning ikkita qoʻlyozma nusxalarining jamlanmasi boʻlib, ulardan biri Damashqdagi kutubxonadan, ikkinchisi Berlindagi kutubxonadan topilgan[4]. Toʻplamda 140 ga yaqin hadis[4] mavjud boʻlib, ularning barchasida isnod (roviylar zanjiri) bor: Paygʻambar (s.a.v.) → Abu Hurayra → Hammom → Maʼmar → Abdurrazzoq[6]

Hammom ibn Munabbih Abu Hurayraning shogirdi boʻlib, u mazkur sahifa oʻz ichiga olgan rivoyatlarni „Abu Hurayra bizga Rasululloh sollallohu alayhi vasallamdan rivoyat qilgan“, degan shaklda keltirgan[7]. „Sahifa“dagi hadislar „Musnadi Ahmad“ga toʻliq kiritilgan[manba kerak].

Matnning asl qoʻlyozmasi yoʻqolgan, ammo matn ikkinchi darajali nusxalar orqali saqlanib qolgan[8].

Aksariyat musulmon ulamolari va baʼzi gʻarb sharqshunoslari sahifaning Ibn Munabbihga nisbat berilishini tasdiqlashsa-da[9], G. H. A. Juynboll uni Abdurrazzoq yozgan, deb taʼkidlaydi[10].
