Uning faoliyati Livingstonda boshlangan, u yerdan 2005-06 yilgi mavsumning yanvar oyida Partik Thistlega ijaraga oʻtgan[1].

2007-yil sentyabr oyida Boyd Ross Country uchun 2008-yilning yanvarigacha ijaraga oldi[2]. 2008-yil 14-yanvarda u Boyd Ross Country bilan doimiy asosda shartnoma imzoladi[3].

2009-10 yilgi mavsumda Boyd soʻnggi daqiqada gol urib, chorak final bosqichida Xibsni Shotlandiya kubogidan chiqarib yubordi[4]. Ross Country 2010-yilgi Shotlandiya kubogi finaliga chiqdi, ammo Dandi Unitedga 3:0 hisobida magʻlub boʻldi. 2009-10 yilgi mavsumda Boyd ham shartnomani uzaytiradi[5]. Mavsum davomida Boyd mavsumda bir marta sardorlik qildi va u Ross Countryni „Celtic“ ga qarshi 3:2 hisobida gʻalaba qozondi[9].

2014-yilning 27-mayida u 2014-15-yilgi mavsumda Ross Country bilan yangi shartnoma imzoladi[10].
