Javata masjidi (arabcha: مَسْجِد جَوَاثَا), shuningdek, notoʻgʻri talaffuzda Al-Javan — tarixiy Javata hududida joylashgan masjid. Taxminan Hufufdan 12 km (7.5 mi) shimoli-sharqda. Bu Sharqiy Arabistonda qurilgan eng qadimgi masjid edi. Asl tuzilmaning aksariyati vayronaga aylangan[2]. Biroq, 2007-yilda Saudiya Arabistonining Turizm va Milliy meros komissiyasi tomonidan Ar-Riyoddagi Masmak qal’asiga oʻxshash dizayndan foydalangan holda qayta tiklangan[3].

Qurilishi

tahrir

Manbalarda masjidning dastlabki qurilgan sanasi milodiy 628- (hijriy 7-)[4][1] yoki milodiy 635–636-yillar deb koʻrsatilgan[2][4][5]. U yerda islomdan oldin va ilk davrda yashagan Bani Abdulqays qabilasi tomonidan qurilgan[1][4]. Bu masjid Sharqiy viloyatida qurilgan va Islomda ikkinchi juma namozi oʻqilgan birinchi masjid ekanligiga ishoniladi, birinchisi Madinadagi Paygʻambar masjidida oʻqilgan[1][4]. Rivoyatlarga koʻra, Qarmatlar tomonidan Makkadan Qora tosh oʻgʻirlanganida, 22 yilga yaqin shu masjidda saqlangan[3].

2007-yildagi restavratsiyadan oldin masjidning asl inshootining aksariyati vayron boʻlgan, kam sonli arklari saqlanib qolgan edi[5][4]. Qibla devorining markaziy uyasi qolgan ikkitasidan kattaroq boʻlib, devorning tashqi tomondan chiqib turgan mehrob vazifasini bajaradi[6].
